Tillie the Witch Dining Room Takeover!

Halloween may look a little different this year, but that doesn't mean it has to be any less fun! Our "Tillie the Witch" dining room has my whole family ready to brew up some serious Halloween fun! And the best part is it didn't cost an arm and a leg! By shopping what I already had, adding in a couple of pieces from Target & Dollartree, and a little creativity we created an affordable and kid-friendly table that's ready to get this party started!
First up...largescale Tillie. To create this large-scale version of Tillie I found a tutorial on color engineering prints here! I knew I wanted to try it out on Tillie so I went to Officemax.com, uploaded my print, and ordered. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the box. The print was perfect! And at a cost of $11 plus shipping, it was easy on the wallet too!
To add a little more glam I added a touch of glitter and some black ribbon, because a project is never truly complete until it has a border! There are so many fun possibilities with colored engineering prints. I can't wait to have more made for future events!
The color pallet of orange, yellow, purple, black, and white was all pulled from Tillie's dress. I knew I wanted each place setting to include them all. Again thinking budget friendly I decided on this fun paper plate combo! I didn't have any black chargers, but I did have some white ones that happened to have black bottoms - so I simply turned them over and voila problem solved and zero money spent! lol Don't tell anyone - it's our little secret! And of course Tillie would want each guest to have their very own cauldron. I will be filling these with a fun treat on Halloween. My mom found these scary cute glasses at the Dollar Tree in black and orange that paired perfectly. For the table runner I used a plastic purple tablecloth, layered orange burlap on top, and lined the border with the same black ribbon I used on Tillie. Some Target dollar spot pumpkins, bead garland and leaf garland from my home collection, and some black foam chandeliers brought all the texture and height to anchor the centerpiece and bring the whole design together.
