Cinderella Birthday Party

A couple of months back my sister asked if I would help her plan my niece's upcoming third birthday. Of course I jumped at the chance as any good Aunt would! I asked her if my sweet little niece had any idea what she wanted the theme to be. At the time we had recently celebrated my twin's birthday and the theme was Frozen 2. My sister replied that my niece loves Anna and Elsa, but that she also really loves Cinderella. So to decide in the best way a three year old can - I went to storage, grabbed all of my princess card board standees and set them all up. We told my niece to pick the one she liked best and though she paused at Anna and Elsa as soon as she saw Cinderella she ran up to her and said "This one is mine!" And that was that - a Cinderella Ball it must be! I've linked as many of the products used below.

Both of my sister's kids have September birthdays so something that made this party unique was that it was a joint party for my 3 year old niece and 9 year old nephew. To give each child and their chosen theme's the space they needed we decided to designate the living room as the space for our Cinderella Ball and the kitchen would the space for my nephew's Jurrasic World set up. (More on that in another post. lol)

It was so much fun transforming my sister's living room into the cutest little princess area that I am sure Cinderella would surely approve! Balloon garlands are my go-to party decor! I love balloons and how they so easily transform a space! I decided to stick to a mostly pink and gold color pallet with some touches of blue so this balloon garland kit was perfect! It came with a large gold star balloon, but I decided to order this gold crown to go on top instead. It was a labor of love but worth every minute!

For the cake table, I was so excited to find this beautifully crafted birthday banner on Etsy and even more excited when I got to see it in person. The detail is amazing. Inspiration for the cake was also found on Etsy when I came across this magical cake topper! It paired perfectly with the banner and really elevated the whole cake - taking it from a simple design to an elegant centerpiece! The candelabra was originally black when I found it on sale at Hobby Lobby. A little spray paint went along way to glam it up! The gold sequin tablecloth was a piece I already had in my collection and really brought the whole area together.

The fireplace was accented with Cinderella herself as well as a fun pink and gold carriage. The carriage can be personalized but I chose instead to leave it blank and add the name banner so that after the party the name could be removed and the carriage reused in the future.

For the table, I chose to bring the pink, gold, and blue together with these fun Cinderella plates accented with pink cups and gold silverware. The pink tulle runner added texture and a pop of pink that paired perfectly with the gold carriage centerpiece. The carriage was originally hot pink when I purchased it but it too got a glam makeover with a couple of coats of gold spray paint that made it the perfect princess carriage to adorn our table.

I am so happy with how this party came together! But most importantly I will never forget the look on my sweet niece's face when she walked into the room and looked around and said "This is my party!". It was a memory I will cherish for a long time!
